Of all abominations...which is worst :-/

Dr. Laura Schlessinger is a radio personality who dispenses advice to people who call in to her radio show. Recently, she said that, as an observant Orthodox Jew, homosexuality is an abomination according to Leviticus 18:22 and cannot be condoned under any circumstance. The following is an open letter to Dr. Laura penned by a east coast resident, which was posted on the Internet. It's funny, as well as informative:

Dear Dr. Laura:

Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's Law. I have learned a great deal from your show, and try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind them that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of debate. I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of the other specific laws and how to follow them:

When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord - Lev.1:9. The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?

I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?

I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness - Lev.15:19- 24. The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.

Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?

I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?

A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination - Lev. 11:10, it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this?

Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here?

Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev. 19:27. How should they die?

I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?

My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev. 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? - Lev.24:10-16. Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)

I know you have studied these things extensively, so I am confident you can help. Thank you again for reminding us that God's word is eternal and unchanging.

The Microprocessor lab

3 hours? are you bullshitting me??? It felt like 3 years.
The lab I was most scared of!The moment arrived and I got the programs that I thought I would be ok with.THANK GOD!!Well,there are two parts...the first part(sofware) was done in a jiffy!beautiful.The second one, I had never tried,I was unsure about it.I tried it,it seemed to work.
But something told me that it wasn't totally right.OK FINE SMARTASS...everything about the question told me it wasn't right.But that was the program that my friends had passed onto me, they said it was right.I also recalled a friend tell me during the labs that this was the way the program worked.I still wanted to make sure.I turned to my right, lo and behold the topper was sitting there, I whishpered to him " Question 3B...I am getting the sqaure of input - X*X is that correct??" He confidently answered in affirmative.I asked again " Are you sure???" he replied "yes".Poor guy!He was already scolded once for some whispering...and here I was, troubling him all over again.
Still something about the program didn't seem right!But I was the dumb guy.So I must be wrong, there is no way three brilliant students can be wrong.Anyway I had got one of the programs working at least, so I decided to cool my nerves and show the output, if it was wrong I could try something later on.
I looked at my watch it was 9 AM...the internal examiner said -"What I'll be there"

the external examiner calls me for VIVA, he totally messes me up with his weird way of asking questions.Something told me that he was dying of laughter within himself, just looking at my face.I know "I AM A DUMB GUY" is written all over my face...but this was really irritating me.
After receiving two phone calls , one of which seemed to be a marriage proposal (Now I was dying of laughter,inside ofcourse!!!I wanted to tear open my shirt and run out of the lab laughing, kicking and screaming ) he came back to me and asked me to show the output.
He asked me if it was correct."Knock!Knock! Hellooooo anybody home? Would I show you the output if I thought it was wrong? " I wanted to say!But I just said "Yeah!".
He asked me to show it to my internal instead.

The god damned woman was nowhere in site!!!

she finally shows up at my system and I am humbled by her punctuality! She checks the first output,then I think she marked it (??).For the second one she calmly says..."oh this is wrong!!!...anyway, your time is up"

Had she come 20 minutes early I could have done something!!
Had I just once told myself - you are not so dumb (at least for the time being) , try and work it right, you idiot!!!

No use crying over split milk they say.At least this time I consider that it was not a run of bad luck but of bad preparation.I suffered from bad luck in the labs...for once I can say that I didn't!Even though nothing much seems to changed in the outcome!

"GO TO HELL!!!" I muttered and walked out of the lab wondering what was to happen of the my buddies who were still left behind

Whats in the news??

A few weeks back, as I sit down to recollect all the news of the day I read into my thoughts as...

1)The govt. has fallen (Again)
2)India put up a poor show on the field (Again)
3)A three year old girl raped and murdered (Again)
4)Violence somewhere-everywhere (Again)
5)I have failed in another subject (Again)
6)Another one of my friends not speaking to me (Again)
7)Deepak doesn't want to see my face (...Again)
8)No development in my project

More the things change,more they stay the same...but somehow I wish my life remained same through lots of changes than staying same like a stagnant pool of pond scum!

a few days back I sit down again to recollect the news...

1)Kevin Rudd, wins elections in Oz,overthrows John Howard and as first act as PM signs Kyoto Protocol! - YOU GO DUDE!!! hudaman?Udaman!!
2)India win a test Vs Pak
3)I complete my project -thnx to some angels :)
4)Only one Tigress shot dead in Vidarbha as against the 'Shoot-at-sight' order for all tigers in region, operation called off after Man-eater killed!
5)I am getting closer :) I can sense it...hang in there tiger,you deserve it.
6)Future seems much more brighter...focus will return!

Now...things can change? for better or for worse? cause if anything can go will and I'm looking to leave nothing to chance!

The match

As expected, I got off my bed at 6 AM without a minute of sleep behind me.If ever, I catch some sleep after 6 AM till around 8 each that was ruled out.Me and my bloodshot eyes reached the ground to find other mist breathing teammates already on the ground.
5th mech are supposed to be a bad bunch at cricket...but this team had 3 good cricketers in their team[Abhinav,Ayyapa,Sudhir].We had discussed the batting order for about 2 days...and it was agreed that I will open.I tend to get nervous while batting, no matter how insignificant the match is,so I need to know solidly when and where I am gonna come at.Only think I don't get nervous at is my fielding and bowling.
We won the toss and choose to field.Abhinav bashed everyone outta the park and was retired in a jiffy.Then this show-off dude came in and luckily for us, he slowed their run rate down.When I came on to bowl, I almost got him a couple of times.But it felt so empty after coming all the way from home to bowl 4 fiery deliveries [ thankfully all
fast and accurate] and 2 throws at our own classmate.I was also involved in 3 run I was feeling good about myself.Later another guy, whose name I don't know came in and bashed us take them to a whooping 108.
I was asked if I could NOT open.I had to agree.Before I could start thinking about how n when n all that of the game ahead, Pavan got out and I had to go in.
Their 'strategy' was - if the bowler is too good, then give the strike to the girl cause then he will HAVE to throw.This brainy strategy was deviced barely minuted before the game started on the advise of the senior and I followed it.I was not too surprised when I was asked whether I could come off and leave it to the pros.Sooner than I could say "SIX" I had to go back in to bat.This time I decided to just do whatever I felt like doing...
1)because I had had enough of 'strategy' which only I had to follow and still get blamed for it
2)because it was the last over of the match :P
We managed to hit 4 boundaries all of which were of them against my name.Jayanth had scored 16 and myself 10...the only 2 to into double digits...bad performance? HELL YES!
While 3 of their guys did all the damage...I heard the rest were doing what they do best- Abuse.
I don't know much of it...cause it didn't happen around me and I rather not read much into it, mainly because
I had great fun even though we lost.I have never smiled so much after losing.My glass is half full and thus let me say, the girls played just as good as the boys!
Ofcourse, I was sad I lost...
On the way back, I finally expressed my regret to my friend about not opening and she said "You should have"...maybe she was just being supportive, I batted badly...but not opening is now turning out to be more of an excuse to me than reason.So I decided not to speak more about it after that.After all,
I had had a great time.HONEST.I have always been blamed for being (or trying to be) too competitive and taking games (Not just cricket) too seriously.I never understood what that meant.I mean, winning is everything, isn't it? Now I know what they meant...and I had to lose to find out.

I am at peace, I must remind you.I started playing cricket with such passion only to channel my anger in the first place.But sometimes, some people have a cooling/calming effect on you and work wonders.From yesterday, I haven't needed a channel for my anger at all.I'm at peace.Finally.

Lastly I would like to add that ,
I lost my manners today morning.I forgot to thank all of them for coming and putting up a show.(I guess, it has something to do with this peace thingy? ).
It seemed like everyone else also enjoyed...and I hope they did.There are other teams from my class who are already in the league.Its fun, why wouldn't they be? and
my wishes are with them.

We are supposed to play this game tomorrow, the same one I told you about earlier( CLICK HERE TO READ THAT ENTRY). Our team goes in in with virtually no practice...and don't even ask about the girls.I dont have any doubt that we are a bad team...our chances of winning are very bad, but I don't want to go in without thinking of victory.I have been in a sort of loosing streak now, all the teams I have played for the last 9 games have lost, maybe it has something to do with me?...I wouldn't blame me cause I wouldn't say that about anybody else either.
This kind of a tournament is made to just have fun with all your friends, both the guys and the chicks and I plan to do just that, have fun.Some of my best friends are in the side and I wanna see all of them smile.
Only thing,barely hours before I go into the game is the lack of anger in me...hehe.Whenever I have played well, I have played well because I had been angry at something or someone...but today , just now, all of sudden, I don't seem to be angry at all.I am at peace.Very calm.Its a great thing for me, I haven't felt like this for a really long time.But I don't think it can be good for the game tomorrow ;)
Anyway, there are other hitters in the side and I will bowl well anyway, that I am confident of.

All I ask for that we have fun, whether we win or lose.I WANT TO WIN...but if I can't have that, I'll settle for an hour of fun :)

They claim they are cross-breed...I say ther are good old indian street pups...atleast half of them are!ALL SOUND AND HEALTHY!!

Thalaratti falls

The guys from NIE-CSE 2005-2009 now get off the bus as we pick up the story from where we left off from our lead's point of view because around here, that's the only point of view that we are entitled to.They remove their footwear at the entrance and descend down the stone stairs to come across a view of the falls.Its falls where the huge rocks on which the water falls over, are carved into a small temple.To get into the temple, one must wade across the water which only about 6 inches high.Our lead folds up his jeans and begins to wade across.His friends enquire "How come you are coming into the temple? I never knew you were religious " to which he replies "Who said I am not religious? I don't believe in idol worship...thats it, besides this is a temple of the Lord Shiva, I gotta make an exception don't I? :) ". Some other people are already there...bathing in the falls while making a poor attempt at keeping there undies on against the strong currents.Barely a place for women to be, as the signs read "Bathing for women only" lol.
As Kavya [yes ,the baby] calls out to accompany her across the waters once again, he can barely refuse.They climb up the stairs and into the temple and say their prayers.He jumps onto one of the rocks near the falls and feels the waters with his feet.The current is too much.Too strong.
He gets down and they walk back and decide to climb up some stairs which lead above the falls.If you ask him...the walk up the falls was the only thing that seemed worthwhile.At the top they reached another segment of the same falls, a place to bathe. As everybody got ready to get wet our hero decides to watch from the sidelines.He finds the water dirty.They play the 'Who is gonna hold his breath the longest?' game as our bloke with his jeans still folded back wades in carefully without getting wet to get a better look at the falls.After all, thats the least he should do after coming all the way.Soon he gets all the girls screaming at the top of their voice.He seems he is gonna throw some really butt-ugly toads on the group.Little do they know, he hates the toads just as much as they do.A guy tries to go underneath as he tries to avoid his possible encounter with those toads.But our hero ain't gonna touch any of them toads nor can the other dude really go underwater....cause the water is barely a foot high.HEHE.
They play in the water...get all wet and wild until its quite dark and time to head back.Our man walks back to his shoes, puts 'em on and finds out that there is no coffee available at the shops.He decided to buy something called 'Amul Masti Machala chaach' or something like that, thinking its lik one of those pista flavoured milk drinks that Nandini milk sells.To his horrow its something so yuck that he almost drops the carton.He evil twin comes to life...he gives a devilish smile deep within his soul and turns to one of his friends and says "Hey dude...this is want some of this? ". Arjun takes a sip and coughs the bloody hell out.He realises the jig and passes it onto Ashray in a similar fashion, then Pramukh is also offered the same by Ashray.In the meanwhile all the 'victims' share a quick smile, well hidden from the bakra-to-be s
as the carton passes from Tom,Dick and Harry and finally onto a guy who seems to be really enjoying the drink.They all finally break down at his stupidity...and the guy still doesn't get it.
He hands the carton back to our guy...but once someone else had a sip from that carton, there was no way it was going back onto his lips...he just stood there wondering what to do with it as the last bakra said "Ya gonna finish that? " *Devilish smile*..."Be my guest!"...and the group breaks down into laughter yet again.[Either the drink was really that bad or it was way past its expiry date and no, I don't know what made the last bakra ask for it twice].

They get back onto the bus, its really dark now.Next stop - Mysore, or so they hoped.Our hero was kicked,slapped,shoved and beaten around on the way as he tried to get some sleep, just because they wanted to have fun or because the person was a total jerk.His MP3 set off to embark on its own journey as the bunch started playing 'Antakshari' yet again.First our sleeping hero was accused about being a hindrance to all the fun.He was asked to get up and move to another seat in the front.Barely a few moments had passed he once again accused of being a spoilsport.Though this time things were not made clear to him, I guess he bright enough to notice the changes in the light intensities in the floor of the bus were caused by frantic gestures at himself and slap on the forehead said more than meant to.He swiftly looked up as the guy sitting next to him shouted "What?" to the person above, only to see a really geeky,cowardish smile.He was all set and ready to blast the living daylights out of anybody and everybody who would dare to accuse him again, after all he had did what he was told to do once, he ain't anybody's puppet."You want me to go anywhere else? " he asks as he receives an unconvincing reply "hehe...I mean it will be more comfortable for you...but I guess all the other seats are can stay". Some people can be such spoilsports sometimes, even on trips meant to be fun.But I guess, everybody screws up once in a while!
Next stop was NOT Mysore as they saw.The bus stopped yet again at Arsikere for dinner.Two Chapathis and 'gojju'. Finally something tasty.Harish seemed to be doing a lot of work today.Kudos to him.He did a great job.Bless him.
Our hero calls home, its 9:30PM , he asks his folks to go to bed without waiting for him.Mum answers in affirmative and a another quick word and the conversation is over.Love you mom.Love you dad.

The bus heads off once again.Our man finally catches some sleep between 10 PM and 11 PM until he is rudely awaken after being sprayed all over with water[ or thats what he thought it was]
followed by "MYSORE!!! ".He sat up and looked around, looked at the was hardly Mysore.The inside of the bus was very dark.He couldn't figure out who did this to him.Suddenly a bottle flies right past his face.Everybody else is sleeping.His eyelids are too heavy too.But cursing he tries to get back to his nap.There was a stack of booze lying somewhere in a bag.It must have gone down someone's throat he thinks as he tries to forgive the miscreant.
He just can't go to sleep again.Instead he decides to just hold up Bhatta's head which kept falling over as he dosed off only to awaken him.So I hope he cud catch some rest when he did that. The guy was cool today.He can crack ya up when its time to let loose, still he ends up as the topper of the class, now thats a character hard to find.

00 00 hours, NOV 5th.
Ashrith's Bday.His cake was cut with a paper plate folded in half and it was time for me to take my revenge on Kavya by applying the cream on her face.Tit for Tat.

1:30AM MYSORE HAS ARRIVED.Only moments pass before the bus is at the college again and our man thinks "The campus looks so beautiful at night!!! ".Everybody bid their byes and the engine is kindled again.Once more 90 seconds and the house gate is in front of you.Pluto is damn happy to see his master.

Once he is in, he just dives into his bed, which is as he left it 22 hours before...unkempt!
He is asleep in no time.Sleep buddy sleep.Sleep like you have never slept before.

Kemmangundi...the 3 peaks.

The bus comes to a halt at a checkpoint and after a regretful decision to pay an extra 50 bucks to drive past the checkpoint and head another 100 metres ahead, they put the things behind us and set off on foot towards the famous peaks.
Akhilesh, who has been here already and a few more of them decide not to stop anywhere in between and they move swiftly onwards taking in the real sense of the trek.He take some ferns for mum on the way.They finally stop near a tree, without a snap on which the trip is said to be incomplete.Staying true to his insanity he climbs up the tree and gets onto the very edge,an edge so edgy that he is directly looking down the valley as the tree branch extends way beyond the path they were traveling on, despite repeated warnings from his mates.They get a snap taken in all sorts of poses possible.But they ain't satisfied.They want one from a digital camera.They wait for a few more minutes and they get their wish.The snap is said to be "Ultimate" will be published on my blog sooner or later once I get my hands on it.If its really that good, I might as well honour it with a separate entry as well!
After carefully making sure he doesn't make friends with any leeches on his way down from "The tree" he heads off catch up with the mates who carried on with their trek up the mountain instead of waiting for a memory on the tree.He catches up with them soon and then overtakes running up the path.Its getting narrower,rockier and slightly risky.Life and limb are on the table.I think at least the limbs were.Running still, challenging his mates to dare and catch up with him he reaches the first peak.

Now the beauty of the place is really getting to him.There is another group of youngsters who are visiting the peaks along with us.They are a noisy bunch.But thats not on his mind one bit.Except maybe slightly of a girl in red but thats miniscule :D. Whats really on his mind is the Lush green landscape ...thats just filling him.Its so lush green...he has never seen a place like that in real ever before.He has only seen it in his dreams...and on TV.He recalls how he used to sketch pictures like this in his primary.He doesn't want to sound cheesy with his mates, so he keeps his excitement within himself.He is probably bottling it all up for this blog ;). He moves to the edges and is amazed at the depths.Heights don't scare him it seems as he runs over to a rock that gives you the feeling that its dangling precariously off the mountain.His mates are now really scared of his antics.They ask him not to do he begins to walk to the edge of the rock.
Its a narrow rock...this much better than the tree...this time, beyond the rock is a mile deep drop to green and rocky patches of ground.He is enjoying this.Snaps are taken in a hurry...some of his friends dare to get to half way through the rock now.'If he can do it...maybe we can do it'.
But halfway :P. \m/ \m/

They hurry onwards...they don't want to miss too much.Yet again, our lead finds another stretch of rocks...that give you a look down the mile deep drop...some more pictures and we are ready for 'Z-point'.

Most people from his class didn't even bother to climb the first peak.Maybe they assumed it wasn't as thrilling as this group realised it was.And they didn't bother to tell[ hehe \m/ :) ], they didn't wanna slow the proceedings down did they?. Z-point comes and goes...none of them seem to know where the 'Z' comes from.Our lead figures that the slopes of the 2 peaks look together like a 'Z' formation when seen from there...but that maybe far from the truth as to why its called 'Z-Point'. As they trek to the top of the second peak[still Z-point] they see that their friends are resting on some rocks.He goes over and notices that one of his friends has found a red stone to carve his girls name on the rocks.Eternal romantic!He snatches the red stone only to be begged back...soon the stone splits unable to bear the intensity in his love for girl.The broken half lands in the hands of our lead character.He figures that he doesn't want to write his message anywhere very move over and bends on the rock...stretches his arms and scribbles his message as far down as possible, where nobody is likely to erase it ever.He writes a name...but he claims he wrote the letter 'G'.

Peak number 3 , here we come.The 3rd peak is not as beautiful as the other two peaks - maybe.But the landscape is the best here.Its the greenest. Just a bunch of his friends hang around and take in the view.They see an eagle flying mid air , absolutely stationary , like a chopper.They try to get close and take a picture of the gorgeous bird.But the baby of the group - Kavya runs like hell shouting "Eagle!Eagle!" towards the bird only to scare it off before they can capture it in a stream of 0's and 1's.Still mocking each other and laughing they regroup and decide its time to head back.As our bloke gets in the front again...the group at the front decide to take a shortcut down the slope of the hill instead of the comfortable stretch of footpath ahead.
Its slippery, a bit.As they are midway through the slope something really amazing happens.

Rain bearing clouds just gust in and engulf the lot.Surrounding everybody.Its cold...chilling cold and full of moisture.It hard to realise the presence of clouds right around you if you are not looking far beyond.Our man, looks far...the first to do that...and then shouts to his classmates to stop talking and look around them.Cries of excitement break out.High point of the journey so far.
On top of the mountain, amidst the clouds...what more can I ask for?A memory that will last beyond a lifetime.

They move on...about 4 guys get far ahead of the rest of the group, our boy is one among them.They quickly move through the grass and reach the road back to the bus.They wash their hands and face and hair with the cool and chilly waters from the Shanti falls and move on.
Our hero is now with his buddy Pramukh.Its been a while since he has had a decent chat with him.There is about one and half a kilometer walk ahead and they talk all the way,plucking flowers and some more ferns on the way.

They reach the find some boozing going on.Nobody dares to make an offer...because his 'NO's are said to be like a slap in the face according what he has been told.He stuffs all the ferns into a plastic cover and shoves it into his backpack.Some more pictures are taken outside the bus as they wait for the rest of the bunch and their tired legs.They arrive about 45 minutes after the first group reached the bus.Lunch is served on paper plates now.Its much better than the so called breakfast that the hero had to contend with in the morning.He has his fill and shares his second helping with whoever he finds it fit to,including a hungry li'l mutt!

Somebody shouts..and he runs across to see whats wrong...Bhatta and Anil are bleeding from the leg.Our hero is slightly dumbfounded but soon realises its the leech that we were asked to look out for.They had their fill on both of them and had got off the ride long back.Anil went crazy!I mean more crazy than he usually is.Our man, calms him down and folds up his pants to check if there are any leeches left in there.Fortunately there are none.But he rues at the lost opportunity to have a look at a living leech.He has seen them in his lab in a bottle of formalin, but not a live leech and that too in action.His wish is soon fulfilled but sadly at the cost of Keerthi's blood when they find a leech still stuck on his legs.They pluck it out and demonstrate how they kill a leech.Must say...its quite strange how things work in nature.A pinch of salt causes the leech to vomit all the blood it just sucked in.He doesn't see the point in killing a leech that has already been plucked off the victim, though he does admit, that he is curious to know what happens to a leech when salt is sprinkled in it.

Its time.They take a vote on whether to return home or visit Thalaratti falls.They choose the latter and off they go.The mountains that are visible on the way back now show that they are completely engulfed in thick blankets of rain bearing clouds.It must feel like heaven up there he thinks.

A few minutes later the bus comes to a halt a noisy place as everybody begin to get off.

Thalaratti falls has arrived.

On the way to Kemmangundi

The story begins when the alarm beeps at 4 AM and the lead of our story gives a reluctant stare at his watch.He can barely open his eyes.Its been a string of early wakings for him and he has barely had any rest.In the next 45 minutes he gets ready in light speed and is soon kindling his engine.

The roads are so empty he thinks...he reaches his college on 90 seconds flat.Ridiculous.Looks like he is in a hurry to pass that he is finding it tough to pass in his subjects!As he reaches his college, he sees that the flourescent lights are on and he thinks "The campus looks so beautiful at night".He finds his mates and the front of the gate and he settles right in between to for all the 'Hi's and 'sup's.The organisers have been very wishful while thinking they are gonna leave at 5 AM.HAHA.

After all the delay, the bus leaves the college at 6:30 AM.Our man decides to conserve energy and tries to get some sleep while resting on the window sill.His best buddy Pramukh is in his usual reserved state.As the country zooms past, it isn't long before the rest of the lot decide to dance.The speakers come to life and the party begins.Our guy is pulled around and pushed around for a dance...but they don't know that they rather watch a man being brutally beaten up in Iraq than watch him dance.And they never find out.As he gathers himself and puts himself back in his seat the dancing reaches its peak.Sharath is going crazy with his 'Rope' dance.He is good! He is looking punk too!Most of them are dancing...and they are good...they are all enjoying...nice.
The bodies get tired soon...or they are just bored of dancing, so they decide to play 'Anthakshari' instead.The game goes on for about 45 minutes.3/4th of the songs are unknown to the lead.He just prefers to look out through his window while as he listens to songs, trying to recognise each and every crop,every harvest that zooms past his sight.Once he turns to Pramukhs and points at a particular crop of spice...but then realises "Who would be interested in knowing about that?"
and decides to enjoy the rest of the countryside by himself.
10:30AM they stop at Arsikere for water or whatever! While most go and call their mummies our hero climbs on top of the bus and gets a snap.Then he climbs down and shakes the bus to scare the people who had followed him and had decided to stay back and get shaken up by him.
The bus starts off again and stops an odd 20 KMs away for the travelers to answer nature's call.
I had answered her before the trip very well...and still I decided to answer repeatedly, just in case we weren't stopping again.They wash their hands and get into the bus...breakfast is served.
His MP3 playa is snatched as he had expected...he smiles as he tries to eat the "breakfast".Its rice with a lot of oil and also as he later realises , a lot of colour.Its not going down at all.To make matters worse he has to eat it with a miniature spoon that is super flexible.He eats 3/4th of the stuff and throws away the rest for a much much more hungrier life that might find it.
The countryside is still filling his eyes as if tailor-made for him.It's a nature lovers delight.Mind you...a real nature lover, not the ones who decide to call themselves a nature lover just because, it is was read in the high school text books. As he watches on, the cheesy "look at that"s and "oh thats one is awesome,look,look!!"s begin to bother him...cause that is what he has been doing all along.He searches for Pramukh...the food and the lack of sleep is kinda beginning to make him sick...but Pramukh is nowhere near.
Now starts a game of Dumbsharads.He indulges himself too.He is sitting with his classmate Manikanta on top of the backrest of the seat in a peculiar position to be more involved.Somehow he and Manikanta seemed to make a few right guesses but they went to deaf years :P.The game begins to get boring for him.After an hour,I am sure it would.He gets down and moves to the footboard and begins to take in a much better view of journey which is now entering the Western ghats.He gets the best view of the ghat section...the mountains,the valleys, trees and the depths...all because he is the only one one the footboard, all the rest are busy with the game.Soon 2 more join him, but his height ensures that he still gets the best view.Luckyass.
To watch the deep valleys from high up there as the bus vigorously criss crossed on the kuccha road must definitely be the high point so far.Another one of those memories that will last for ever.Merry shouts of "Hey you cheated! I saw you move your @#$%^ " and "Hey I didn't cheat, who you calling a @#$%^?? " in the background and beautiful hills and valleys on the foreground.

Second internals

Second internals...a series of wow highs and usual trenchy lows.I copied well in a couple and very badly in other.My overall copy performances were poor for the week.:))
The high point is when you do well after being underestimated...this happened on Tue when
the DBMS teacher walked of the class for 2 minutes on 3 occassions and Bang!Bang!upto 8 marks of data transfer took place between Pramukh's Writing device and my reading device.
The invigilator walked in after the second time and casually underestimated me ,big time , by saying," 2 minutes sufficient for 1 mark or 2 eh? " I couldn't help but give a really devilish smile!

How do I get dragged into all this?

There is this new cricket "tournament" organised in our college just for the sake of fun where you can play along with your friends - boys and girls.5 girls and 6 boys per team to be exact.
Its just for fun, where enough rules have been made to make sure that the boys dont dominate the gals.Seems nice, but I had decided to cool it a bit on cricket.But Sharath's repeated 'Shut up! and play's left me with no choice.we had a team up and ready within 5 minutes comprising of all my friends, some of whom I had to literally beg to get into the team,cause this is a strange new concept of getting girls and boys to play together.The story doesn't end there.For the record- I am not the captain.But unfortunately, some guys who couldn't "make it" into the "playing 6" were really upset and cross with me.Now, I have not a clue of why they were "dropped" or not "allowed to play" or "wtf".Behind the scenes all kinds of filmy drama, supposedly went on with "I am sorry maga, but this is our team, you are interfering in our matters" kinda dialogues.I'm just going around wondering about all cold glances being thrown at me...where as in the meanwhile they have been reckoning that I was not interested in those guys.I can't believe they turned something so small and insignificant, into this.Besides I am in the middle of it?How do I get dragged into all this? and why the living hell is it all my fault damn-it!

Flame on!!

The picture you see here is of my famous helmet.My ride used to be incomplete without these flames.Well it looks totally amazing in this pic...I know.But I always didn't like the helmet as much as my behaviour towards the thing would have suggested.
To cut a long story short, I was promised I would be getting a helmet with cool flames on it, when the 'Helmet rule' was imposed in my city.I was dreaming about a sexy dual tone graphics with uneven flames , reddish orange finish and orange yellow core...and everything you can dream of in a cool flames graphics.What I got was definitely not what I wanted.But I had got it.I had trusted the wrong person to get 'cool' things done.So I just carried it around, as if I loved it more than my life! Many people found it 'cool' too.Nobody dared to sarcastically compliment me about I guess only my idea about a flames graphics was different.
Later I couldn't jus take it along with me...I had to do SOMETHING!!!I simply switched helmets with my dad....LOL!
Now my head feels much much lighter...I still hafta answer questions like..."Ahh that was so cool man...why don't u bring it anymore? "...."Wtever man, I loved it"...and stuff like that.But I finally got what I want!
